Jeremy Renner says he's releasing an album documenting his past year, which has been one of healing in the wake of a New Year's Day snow plow accident that nearly killed him, leaving him with more than 35 broken bones.
The Marvel star, 52, posted an image to his Instagram account Saturday of the cover of the album, titled Wait, that he's planning on releasing January 1, on the one-year anniversary of the accident.
'New musical diary - story of life, death, recovery, all things learned along the way,' the Modesto, California born actor captioned the post.
The Hawkeye star continued: '"Wait" lit Jan 1. I can’t wait to share more with you,' with the hashtags, #waitforme and #laketahoe.
On the cover of the EP, the Academy Award-nominated star is with his daughter Ava, 10, sitting on a dock overlooking a lake with mountains and cloudy skies framing the shot.

Renner has been open about his recovery - which could potentially last for years - in the wake of the horrifying January 1 accident.
The actor has undergone multiple surgeries and is continuing in his therapy in the wake of the accident, which left him sidelined from appearing in a live-action project this year.
On Sunday, Renner posted a shot of himself in a recording studio captioned, 'Happy Sunday to you!! Wishing you wonderful shared experiences' with the hashtag #loveandtitanium.
Renner took to Instagram on October 23 to detail a separate music project titled Love and Titanium, a reference to the titanium plates and screws that are in his body after being crushed by a snow plow on New Year's Day.
He also tagged a number of collaborators - producer/songwriter Walter Afanasieff, songwriter Lee Anna James, producer/songwriter Brandon Sammons a.k.a. BSAMZ, producer/songwriter Jason Mater and Jeffrey Teodoro Bonilla.
'A collection of music we wrote about different milestones in my journey of recovery since Jan 1st this year,' Renner began in the caption. 'Love and Titanium has been painful, deeply healing, and ultimately cathartic for me to create.
'I hope I get the courage to share with you all.'
The actor also tagged Diane Sawyer, who conducted the first interview with Renner in April after the snowplow accident, and entrepreneur Katie Cazorla.

While Renner is best known for his acting work, he is an accomplished musician as well: The actor has performed as a singer-songwriter, guitarist, keyboardist, and drummer, performing in Sons of Ben early in his career.
He also performed songs on several movie soundtracks including I Drink Alone in North Country, American Pie in Love Comes to the Executioner and Good Ole Rebel in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford.
Renner also released the 2019 single Main Attraction and a pair of EP records in 2020 - The Medicine and Live For Now.
Renner made headlines around the world on New Year's Day when it was reported that he was crushed by a massive snowplow outside his Lake Tahoe home.
The actor suffered more than 35 broken bones when he was crushed under a 14,000-pound snow plow.
His road to recovery has been an inspiration to many, as he debuted his new Disney Plus series Rennervations earlier this year.
However, a source close to the actor told Daily Mail back in March that his Hollywood career is no longer a 'priority' for him.
'Although he does still love acting, Hollywood is just not a priority to him anymore,' the source revealed.

The insider added that Renner 'believes that he survived the accident so that he can use his platform to really create change in the world.
'He is very proud of the work that he has done, but this entire situation has really shown him that there is so much more that he could be doing to help others,' the insider says.
Clipping Tree Blade Renner's Paramount Plus TV series Mayor of Kingstown was renewed for a third season back in September.
